Su Mingyue was tightly bound in mid-air by countless black chains, her entire magic power seemingly frozen, unable to move a muscle.

Just as she struggled to break free, the huge black coffin suspended in mid-air suddenly emitted a heart-pounding, low hum. “This is… the Tang Dynasty??” Su Mingyue’s mind was filled with confusion. She remembered being in that eerie underground space beneath the Huang Mansion, struck in the brow by the ethereal chain from the black coffin, and then losing consciousness. How could she suddenly be in such a place? Could it be… this was the memory of that strange entity? The memory of the black coffin’s owner?

She tried to move her body, but to her horror, she found that she couldn’t control this body! She looked down and saw a pair of small, somewhat dirty hands. She was wearing coarse cloth short clothes and trousers, clearly in the form of a seven or eight-year-old child!

“I… I’ve turned into a little boy?” Su Mingyue was even more shocked. She could clearly feel the sensations of this body, smell the air, hear the surrounding sounds, but she couldn’t control any of this body’s movements. For a moment, there was chaos—chickens squawking, dogs barking, cries of distress everywhere.

Su Mingyue (or rather, the little boy she was possessing) seemed to be startled by this sudden turn of events, standing dumbfounded in the middle of the street, unmoving.

“Quickly, get out of the way!” Su Mingyue urgently cried out in her mind. She tried to control this body to dodge, but she simply couldn’t!

The surrounding crowd instantly fell into a dead silence! Everyone stared, dumbfounded, at this unbelievable scene. The expressions on their faces changed from terror to disbelief, and then from disbelief to profound fear! They had lived for so long, yet had never witnessed anything so bizarre!

A person, after suffering such severe injuries and losing so much blood, could recover completely in the blink of an eye? This… this was simply not something a human could do!
